Food History
A French Catholic priest with a single Arabica tree introduced coffee to Vietnam in 1857. Limitations on the availability of fresh milk forced vendors to pair coffee with sweetened, condensed milk instead. And it still forms the base of Vietnamese iced coffees today. Sweet. Refreshing. A real thirst-quencher.
